The selection of articles in this year's monograph demonstrates the emphasis placed on quality improvement by nurses at St. Vincent's Hospital.
It is particularly pleasing to see reports regarding changes being made in patient care delivery that emphasise that patient care is a multidisciplinary responsibility and that nurses acknowledge the role other health professionals play.
The articles also demonstrate the links between research and quality improvement at unit level which has been a specific objective of the Nursing Division.
I would like to congratulate all the individual nurses who contributed to this year's Monograph for taking up this challenge, as well as the members of the Nursing Research Committee who constitute the editorial committee.
