Annual Renewal of CIAP Resources
The renewal of CIAP resources is planned to take place on
July 1 2008 and it is expected that all current resources will be available on this date. Any changes
to content will be notified to key user groups as they are confirmed. Keep watching the News@CIAP
for further updates. All CIAP Representatives and Library Staff will be emailed as to changes.
As CIAP enters its 11th year successful year of service,
continued usage growth resulted in a 23% increase for 2007. Congratulations to all CIAP’s supporters
and users for their ongoing efforts to spread the word about the benefits of CIAP.
All CIAP resources usage since July 1998
Review of Access to CIAP
While CIAP continues to develop as a vital resource to
support clinical decisions across NSW Health ongoing access issues continue for clinicians. Access
and connectivity issues were identified in both the user survey and the
expert review conducted in 2006 and the review of CIAP Education and Training conducted in 2007.
To assist HealthTechnology to better understand the
access issues a review of access to CIAP will be undertaken in the coming months. The review will:
- Identify the technical barriers to accessing CIAP across the NSW Health system
- Identify the standards used centrally, at an AHS level and at a local level that govern
accessibility and performance
- Analyse the effectiveness of the current service architecture for delivery
It is expected that this work will be concluded by mid
July 2008. For further information please
