Review of Access to CIAP

While CIAP continues to develop as a vital resource to support clinical decisions across NSW Health ongoing access issues continue for clinicians. Access and connectivity issues were identified in both the user survey and the expert review conducted in 2006 and the review of CIAP Education and Training conducted in 2007.

To assist HealthTechnology to better understand the access issues a review of access to CIAP will be undertaken in the coming months. The review will:

  • Identify the technical barriers to accessing CIAP across the NSW Health system
  • Identify the standards used centrally, at an AHS level and at a local level that govern accessibility and performance
  • Analyse the effectiveness of the current service architecture for delivery

It is expected that this work will be concluded by mid July 2008. For further information please .
